The project

About the project

Self-hosted MP4s were pushing one site into hosting bandwidth overages, and a custom ACF theme on another site was slow to show content and jumped while loading.

The videos moved to Vimeo, played through one JavaScript handler for native and Vimeo players that only loads the Vimeo SDK when needed. On the theme side: critical CSS, per-block stylesheets loaded only when a block is on the page, LCP image preloading from parsed blocks, requestAnimationFrame-throttled scripts, sliders initialised lazily with IntersectionObserver, WOFF2 fonts, and layout-shift fixes.
