Awake Cultural Camp was created out of a passion to preserve Indigenous culture. Traditional hunting, trapping and fishing skills are becoming scarce, so the camps pass that knowledge on to the next generation. They run winter trapping camps, fall hunting camps and summer youth camps in Northern Alberta.
Camps are open to adults and youth 12+, with priority for Indigenous youth. They are free for participants thanks to sponsors BME and Fort McKay Alcor. The site keeps it simple: an aerial hero with the camp seasons, a details and dates page, participant stories and a clear Apply Now path.
